Police Attempted to Question Performer
The performer, referred to by police on social media as “Snake Señor,” was allegedly displaying large snakes to tourists near the popular Hollywood attractions.
When officers attempted to speak with him, authorities say the man suddenly fled the area on foot.
Police joked in their social media update that the suspect “slithered away.”
Snakes Left Behind on the Street
As the man ran from police, he reportedly left the reptiles behind on the sidewalk.
Officers were then forced to step in and safely secure the animals.
Photos released by the police showed multiple snakes, including what appeared to be large boa constrictors.
One image showed a yellow-and-white snake wrapped around the handler before he fled.
