The NYPD is searching for two armed suspects who fired multiple shots at a Bronx playground before fleeing in a car, captured on surveillance video swapping sweaters.
The incident took place shortly after 5 p.m. at Bathgate Playground. Police say the two approached a group of people, and one of them pulled out a gun and fired several rounds before running away. Miraculously, no one in the park was injured.
The suspects then ran on foot and jumped into a dark-colored sedan, speeding off along Bathgate Avenue. Police have now charged them with reckless endangerment.
What the Suspects Wore
- One suspect wore a red sweater over a black t-shirt, black pants, and black sneakers.
- The second suspect wore a light blue sweater over a white t-shirt, black and white pants, and black sneakers.
A video shows the two suspects taking off their sweaters and swapping them as they crossed the street, possibly to avoid being recognized.
