A deadly train and bus collision in Bangkok, Thailand, has left at least eight people dead and many others injured. Authorities are now revealing new details about the tragic crash, including drug test results involving the train driver and multiple criminal charges linked to the incident.
Deadly Bangkok Train Crash Kills Eight People
The accident happened on Saturday, May 16, near the Asoke-Din Daeng railway crossing in Bangkok. A freight train slammed into a public bus at a busy crossing close to an airport rail station.

“I heard a thud and then another,” Raksa said. “Then I saw the train pass, dragging the bus with it.”
After the crash, Raksa reportedly found a person trapped beneath his vehicle suffering from a broken leg.
Rescue Teams Faced Massive Fire Damage
Footage from the scene showed emergency responders climbing into the burned bus while searching for victims and recovering bodies.
Police officers, firefighters, and rescue workers remained at the crash site for hours as smoke continued rising from destroyed vehicles.
