The NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Committee announced the teams and individuals selected to participate in the 2026 NCAA Division I Women’s Golf Championships regionals, with Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Tulsa all earning spots.
The regionals will take place from May 11-13 at six regional sites, and the three Oklahoma schools will be competing for a chance to advance to the NCAA Finals in Carlsbad, California, later this month.
Oklahoma Sooners: No. 4 Seed at Ann Arbor Regional
For the 22nd time in program history, the Oklahoma Sooners women’s golf team has secured a spot in the postseason.
The Sooners earned the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Ann Arbor Regional, which will be held at the University of Michigan Golf Club.
This marks the third consecutive NCAA Regional appearance for Oklahoma, the first time the program has made three straight postseason berths since 2017-19.
The No. 4 seed is the highest for Oklahoma since they earned the No. 3 seed at the 2014 NCAA West Regional.
The Sooners are aiming to return to the NCAA Championships for the second consecutive season and the 11th time in program history.

Oklahoma State Cowgirls: No. 4 Seed at Chapel Hill Regional
The No. 20-ranked Oklahoma State Cowgirls will compete in the NCAA Chapel Hill Regional, hosted at the UNC Finley Golf Club, as the No. 4 seed.
Oklahoma State earned an at-large bid thanks to their national ranking and will be aiming to make their sixth consecutive appearance at the NCAA Finals. The Cowgirls have qualified for 20 regional appearances since the system’s introduction 32 years ago.
In 2025, Oklahoma State placed third at the Gold Canyon Regional to secure its place in the NCAA Championship field.

Tulsa Golden Hurricane: No. 8 Seed at Waco Regional
Tulsa’s women’s golf team is back in the NCAA Championship field for the second consecutive season.
The Golden Hurricane earned an automatic berth by winning the American Conference Championship and will compete in the NCAA Waco Regional at Ridgewood Country Club, where they are seeded No. 8.
This marks Tulsa’s 22nd regional appearance since the regional format began in 1993, and their fifth regional appearance in the last six years.
Tulsa’s women’s golf program has a rich history, including two regional titles in back-to-back seasons in 2001 and 2002, and four national championships, including the 1980 AIAW, 1982 AIAW, 1982 NCAA, and 1988 NCAA Championships.

NCAA Championship Finals
A total of 72 teams will compete across six regional sites for a spot in the NCAA Finals, which will take place from May 22-27 at the Omni La Costa Resort & Spa in Carlsbad, California.
The teams from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Tulsa will each be aiming to advance to the finals and compete for the national title.
