MIDWEST CITY, OKLA — Police in Midwest City responded early Thursday morning to a shooting near NE 10th and Post Road. The incident occurred around 7:30 a.m., prompting officers to secure the area and investigate the circumstances.
Details of the Shooting
According to authorities, Ronnie Goodson had broken into a neighbor’s home. The homeowner shot Goodson during the altercation. Emergency responders transported Goodson to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Ongoing Investigation
Midwest City police are continuing to interview witnesses and others connected to the case to gather additional information. Once the investigation is complete, the case will be referred to the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office for review.
Authorities emphasized that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
