Arrest Made in Rural Miami, Oklahoma
The incident took place near Miami, where police executed a search and arrest warrant on April 22, 2026. The operation was led by the Miami Police Department with support from several partner agencies.
The suspect, William Melton Goode, was taken into custody without any resistance.

Authorities confirmed that several agencies worked together during the operation. These included the Bureau of Indian Affairs Division of Drug Enforcement, Ottawa County Sheriff’s Office, and Harvey County Sheriff’s Office.

Officials said these agencies are part of the Oklahoma Judicial District 13 Drug and Violent Crimes Task Force, which focuses on serious criminal investigations.

Police said Goode was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant from Kansas. Authorities also confirmed that he is a registered sex offender in Oklahoma due to a previous conviction involving communication with a minor using technology.
