Secret Affair Led to Deadly Plot
Investigators revealed that O’Donnell was involved in an extramarital relationship with Michael Harding’s wife, Julie Vernnan Harding.
Julie Harding was not an ordinary citizen—she was a high-ranking officer with the California Highway Patrol and had served in law enforcement since 1999.
According to prosecutors, Julie Harding secretly withdrew more than $220,000 from her estranged husband’s bank accounts in the months leading up to his death.
