A drunk man in Wales who warned pub staff that “you can’t stop a ‘dozer” before crashing a bulldozer into a local pub during what a judge called a revenge attack has been sentenced to prison.
Wales Man Jailed After Bulldozer Pub Attack
A court in Wales has sentenced 35-year-old Daniel Morgan to three years and four months in prison after he admitted carrying out a dangerous bulldozer attack on a village pub.
Morgan, from Rhigos in Wales, pleaded guilty to:
- Aggravated vehicle taking
- Dangerous driving
- Criminal damage while recklessly endangering life
The shocking incident left significant property damage and put multiple lives at risk.
Argument at Pub Triggered Violent Rampage
According to reports, the incident happened on December 4, 2025, at The New Inn, a pub in Cefn Rhigos, located in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales.
Morgan had reportedly been drinking heavily at the pub when he became angry over comments related to the breakdown of his marriage.
After leaving, he allegedly sent threatening text messages to the pub owner, warning:
- “Be careful, you can’t stop a ‘dozer”
- “It will be a drive thru”
Bulldozer Stolen From Family Farm
Investigators said Morgan then went to his father’s farm and took a bulldozer without permission.
CCTV footage shown in court reportedly captured him driving the machine out of the farm and crashing into his brother’s car, flipping it over as he left.
His father, Phillip Morgan, reportedly followed him and rushed ahead to warn people at the pub to get out because he feared he could not stop his son.
Pub Patrons Forced to Flee
As customers and staff evacuated, Morgan allegedly drove the bulldozer across the pavement and smashed directly into The New Inn pub.
The attack destroyed part of the porch and damaged outside walls.
Authorities estimated property damage at around £22,000.
Thankfully, no one inside the pub suffered serious injuries.
Attack Continued Toward Family Property
After damaging the pub, Morgan reportedly drove toward a property where his estranged wife and children were staying.
People attempted to block the road using vehicles and trailers, but prosecutors said Morgan simply drove over them and continued.
The rampage only ended when his father used another construction vehicle to damage the bulldozer and force it to stop.
Alcohol and Drug Abuse Revealed in Court
After his arrest, officers found Morgan was well over the legal alcohol limit for driving.
Court proceedings also revealed he had been abusing cocaine and drinking heavily at the time of the offense.
During sentencing, the judge described the incident as a revenge attack carried out intentionally and said Morgan’s actions caused serious danger and extensive damage.
Driving Ban Added to Prison Sentence
Along with his prison term, Morgan has also been banned from driving for three years and three months.
Police later called the incident a targeted and reckless attack, adding that it was fortunate nobody was seriously hurt.
The case has become one of the most unusual crime stories of the year, highlighting how alcohol, anger, and poor decisions can quickly turn into life-threatening violence.
