Florida rapper Kodak Black is back in legal trouble after being booked into jail for the second time in less than two weeks, adding another chapter to his ongoing legal battles.
Kodak Black Arrested Again in Florida
Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was arrested again in Florida on May 14, marking his second arrest in less than two weeks.
According to jail records from Broward County, the 28-year-old rapper was taken into custody on charges including:
- Resisting an officer without violence
- Attempting to flee law enforcement
Authorities booked Kapri into Broward County Jail, where both charges remain pending trial.
His bond was initially listed at $0.
Attorney Says This Is Not a New Case
Kapri’s attorney said this was not related to a new incident.
According to his legal team, the arrest stems from an investigation connected to an event that allegedly happened more than five months ago.
His lawyer stated that Kapri voluntarily turned himself in and was expected to appear in court for bond proceedings.
The attorney also claimed that multiple law enforcement agencies have unfairly targeted the rapper in previous investigations.
Recent Drug Trafficking Arrest
This latest arrest comes shortly after Kodak Black was arrested on May 6 in another Florida case.
That case involved a felony trafficking charge connected to MDMA.
Investigators said the case stems from an alleged incident in Orlando in November, when officers responded to reports of gunfire outside a children’s safety facility.
Police Investigation Linked to Social Media Posts
According to court documents, while officers investigated the scene, they allegedly found evidence inside one of the vehicles that they connected to Kapri.
Authorities claimed they found:
- A pair of pink scissors
- Jewelry allegedly matching social media photos
- A firearm similar to one seen online
- Suspected illegal substances
Police reportedly used Instagram photos as part of their investigation.
Court Appearance and Criminal History
Kapri appeared in court on May 7 regarding the trafficking case.
He pleaded not guilty and requested a jury trial.
A judge set his bond at $75,000.
During the hearing, the court reportedly reviewed his criminal history, which includes multiple prior felony and misdemeanor convictions.
Legal Troubles Continue
Kodak Black has faced several legal issues throughout his career, ranging from weapons and drug-related charges to probation matters.
His attorney argues that some past accusations were later dismissed, reduced, or disproven through laboratory testing.
Despite those claims, his latest arrests continue to attract major public attention.
