A Florida woman was arrested after a violent road rage incident that left a pregnant driver, an elderly bystander, and a police officer all victims of her aggressive actions. The disturbing outburst took place on February 23, 2026, near the Mall of Millenia in Orlando, with wild video capturing the chaos as it unfolded.
A Violent Road Rage Incident
Mandolyn Shaffer-Brockwell, 37, was caught on video charging out of her white Kia, heading straight toward a white SUV. The video, released by the Orlando Police Department, shows Shaffer-Brockwell attempting to jump onto the hood of the SUV before ripping open the driver’s door and violently attacking the woman inside.
The victim, who was pregnant and had a child in the car, told Shaffer-Brockwell that she was expecting and trying to inform her of the situation as she was assaulted. The attack allegedly began after the victim honked at Shaffer-Brockwell, who had been abruptly stopping her vehicle and refusing to let the other car change lanes, according to the police report.
The Elderly Victim’s Intervention
As the violent altercation continued, a 68-year-old woman, who witnessed the incident from her nearby vehicle at a red light, attempted to intervene. In response, Shaffer-Brockwell screamed at the elderly woman to get back in her car, before swiping at her face. A man quickly stepped in between them, attempting to diffuse the situation.
The video showed Shaffer-Brockwell walking back to her car, still screaming, as she left the elderly woman with visible scratch marks and bruising under her eye. Police later confirmed the elderly woman’s injuries.
Attack on the Police Officer
After the violent rampage, Shaffer-Brockwell fled the scene, but an officer eventually caught up with her and attempted to arrest her. As the officer tried to wrestle her to the ground, Shaffer-Brockwell allegedly bit him on the arm, prompting the officer to scream, “Don’t bite me!”
Shaffer-Brockwell continued to resist, shouting, “Get the f— off of me!” Backup officers arrived shortly thereafter, and together they were able to restrain her and take her into custody.
Legal Charges
Shaffer-Brockwell was charged with several serious offenses, including:
- Battery of persons 65 years of age or older
- Aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer
- Burglary of a conveyance
- Resisting an officer with violence
She now faces a lengthy legal battle following the violent outburst that left multiple people injured and a police officer bitten.
