A Texas man, Michael Chadwick Fry, is facing serious charges after allegedly throwing a bucket of human bones over the fence at the FBI field office in Dallas. Fry’s bizarre actions, which included stealing remains from a mausoleum, were captured on video and posted to YouTube.
Charges Against Michael Chadwick Fry
Fry, 45, is facing two counts of abuse of a corpse and one count of tampering with evidence with intent to impair a human corpse, according to the Bartonville Police Department. The investigation began when Fry’s mother called the police after he visited her house in Bartonville, Texas, on Monday. Fry allegedly requested money for a U-Haul, claiming he had a body that needed to be moved.
Discovery of Human Bones at FBI Field Office
Authorities were soon alerted by FBI Special Agents that Fry had thrown a bucket containing human bones over the fence of the FBI Dallas Field Office. This discovery led to an investigation, and Fry reportedly made it easy for investigators by posting a video of the incident on his YouTube channel, “Fry and Berto news! Where we reveal mass killers.”
The four-and-a-half-minute video was titled “We send Elizabeth over the FBI fence to summon them by force.” In it, Fry appeared outside the FBI office speaking to a person behind a window. He requested a “status check” on an investigation related to his “dead family and friends.” After receiving information about submitting digital evidence, Fry seemed dissatisfied and decided to escalate the situation.
Fry’s Video and Disturbing Behavior
Fry filmed himself throwing the bucket of human remains over the fence and then returned to his car. He promised in the video, “There’s more videos coming,” and added, “We’re going to take bones all over the place. I got more.” Fry also encouraged viewers to like and subscribe to his channel.
Authorities discovered that Fry had filmed other disturbing videos showing human remains and an urn of ashes at his mother’s home. Detectives later determined that Fry allegedly stole the urn from a cemetery in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, in February.
Investigation and Discovery of Stolen Remains
Further investigation revealed that FBI agents located evidence at a cemetery in Denton, Texas, indicating that a coffin containing human remains had been removed from a mausoleum. Fry referred to the remains in the bucket as “Elizabeth Virginia Lyon,” and authorities are currently conducting DNA testing to confirm the identity of the bones.
Fry had also searched for cemeteries in Texas and Oklahoma on the GPS in his mother’s car, which further implicated him in the theft of the human remains.
Past History of Attention-Seeking Behavior
Fry is no stranger to attention-grabbing stunts. In 2018, he crashed his car into the KDFW studios and left behind a suspicious bright orange duffel bag, prompting a bomb squad response. It was reported that Fry was upset about police shooting his friend at the time.
Fry’s Current Status
Fry is currently being held at the Denton County Jail with a $30,000 bond.
