Mamadi Tambajang has been found guilty of murdering his girlfriend, Amber Kelly, at their apartment in Sandy Springs.
The court sentenced Tambajang to life in prison, with a possibility of parole after 50 years. According to police, the crime was extremely violent and disturbing.
Delayed Confession Raises Questions
On May 15, 2024, Tambajang walked into the police station and said he wanted to turn himself in. He asked officers to check on Amber Kelly, claiming he did not know whether she was alive or dead.
However, when police reached the apartment, they found Kelly already dead. Investigators believe that she had been killed at least a day before he came forward.
Crime Scene Described as Horrific
