A Texas man has been arrested after allegedly making violent threats against Erika Kirk, the wife of late conservative activist Charlie Kirk, ahead of a major Turning Point USA event in San Antonio.
Texas Man Arrested Over Alleged Threats Against Erika Kirk
Authorities in Texas have arrested 26-year-old Jacob Wenske for allegedly threatening to kill Erika Kirk and carry out bomb attacks at Turning Point USA events.
According to an arrest affidavit, Wenske allegedly sent an email to Turning Point USA containing threatening messages aimed at Erika Kirk and other speakers scheduled to appear at the organisation’s upcoming Women’s Leadership Summit in San Antonio.
The email reportedly included statements calling for violence against Christian nationalists and threats of bombings at Turning Point rallies and events.
Threats Linked to Upcoming Leadership Summit
The Women’s Leadership Summit is set to take place from June 5 to June 7 at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. Erika Kirk, who became Chairwoman and CEO of Turning Point USA following the death of her husband Charlie Kirk in September 2025, is expected to attend the event.
Investigators say Wenske also posted threatening comments on a Facebook post promoting the summit. One of the alleged messages suggested he knew where to place a bomb and referenced working as a valet.
Previous Employment Raised Concerns
According to police, Wenske previously worked for a parking management company that provided valet services for hotels and events in the San Antonio area.
Because of his prior access to event venues, investigators considered the threats particularly serious. Authorities stated that the comments appeared credible and specific rather than random or vague.
Police Investigate Social Media Activity
Law enforcement officials reviewed Wenske’s Facebook account and reportedly found multiple posts expressing hostility toward Turning Point USA supporters and affiliated individuals.
The arrest affidavit states that investigators identified Wenske as the account owner through subscriber records, email information, phone records, and IP address data.
Police allege that his social media activity included support for violence and repeated threats against people with opposing political views.
Facing Terroristic Threat Charges
Wenske was arrested and booked into the Bexar County Jail. He has been charged with two counts of making a terroristic threat that caused fear of serious bodily injury.
If convicted, he could face up to 10 years in prison. Authorities have set his bail at $120,000.
Investigation Continues
The case remains under investigation as authorities continue reviewing evidence related to the alleged threats. Security measures surrounding the upcoming Turning Point USA event are expected to remain a priority following the arrest.
Law enforcement officials have stressed the importance of taking threats of violence seriously, especially when they involve public events and large gatherings. The arrest highlights ongoing efforts to prevent potential acts of violence before they occur and ensure public safety.
