A routine trip to a store in Florida turned into a violent and unexpected incident after a heated argument between two customers escalated into a physical fight. What started as shouting at a gas station quickly turned into a dangerous confrontation involving injuries on both sides.
Woman Arrested After Costco Fight
A 29-year-old woman named Valeria Aguilar was arrested after getting into a physical altercation with another customer at a Costco location in Miami.
Police said the situation began at the store’s gas station, where Aguilar was reportedly shouting at other customers and even arguing with a staff member.
Argument Began at Gas Station
According to police reports, Aguilar was behaving aggressively while refuelling her vehicle. During this time, another woman drove up in her car and told the staff to cancel Aguilar’s Costco membership.
This comment reportedly made Aguilar angry and triggered the next series of events.
Chased Customer to Confront Her
After hearing the remark, Aguilar ran after the other woman’s vehicle on foot. When she could not stop her, she got into her own car and followed the woman to a nearby intersection.
This shows how quickly the situation escalated from a verbal argument to a dangerous chase.
Physical Fight at Intersection
Once both vehicles stopped at an intersection, Aguilar allegedly got out of her car and approached the other driver.
Police say she:
- Punched the woman in the head
- Scratched her face and chest
- Grabbed her clothing during the attack
The other woman was still sitting in her car when the attack began.
Victim Fought Back with Tool
In an unexpected turn, the other driver defended herself using an axe multitool she had in her vehicle.
She reportedly struck Aguilar on the face and arms while trying to protect herself. Both women suffered cuts and injuries during the fight.
After the incident, the other driver left the scene.
Police Response and Arrest
Police arrived at the intersection soon after the fight. Aguilar was taken to a hospital for treatment due to her injuries.
After receiving medical care, she was arrested and charged with burglary with assault or battery.
Legal Action and Custody
Aguilar was later taken to the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center. A judge ordered that she be held without bond.
Details about her next court appearance have not yet been announced.
