A strange and serious crime case has come to light after a man accused of attempted murder was caught by police while trying to escape in disguise. The incident has grabbed attention due to the unusual way the suspect tried to avoid being recognised.
Suspect Arrested While Fleeing in Disguise
A 42-year-old man named Christopher Lindsley has been arrested in connection with an attempted murder case. Police found him riding a bicycle while wearing a wig, reportedly trying to hide his identity.
Authorities said the unusual disguise did not help him for long, as officers quickly recognised and caught him.
Domestic Dispute Led to Serious Charges
The case began on March 21, when police received a report about a domestic dispute involving Lindsley and his girlfriend.
After investigating the situation, officers issued an arrest warrant the next day. He was charged with:
- Attempted first-degree murder
- Aggravated domestic battery (strangulation)
- Aggravated domestic battery causing serious injury
These charges indicate that the incident was extremely serious.
Spotted Near Bridge Late at Night
On March 23, around 3 a.m., police located Lindsley near a bridge. He was riding a bicycle and wearing a wig in an apparent attempt to avoid being identified.
When officers tried to stop him, he allegedly tried to escape from the scene.
Arrested After Brief Chase
Despite his attempt to flee, police were able to catch and arrest him shortly after spotting him.
Authorities also found that he was in possession of methamphetamine, which led to an additional charge.
Court Proceedings Begin
Lindsley made his first court appearance on March 23 through a video call from jail.
His preliminary hearing has been scheduled for April 1, where further legal proceedings will take place.
