A disturbing case from New York has come to a legal end, with a man being sentenced for a series of violent and hate-driven attacks on strangers. The case gained attention after one of the victims, a social media influencer, shared her experience online.
Man Sentenced for Multiple Attacks
Skiboky Stora, 42, has been sentenced to 3 to 9 years in prison for carrying out several attacks in New York City.
The announcement was made by Alvin L. Bragg Jr., who stated that Stora was involved in a pattern of violent behaviour, including assault, stalking, and harassment.
Series of Hate-Fueled Incidents
According to officials, the attacks were not random but driven by hate. Stora targeted people in incidents described as anti-female, anti-white, and antisemitic.
Authorities also confirmed that protection orders have been issued for all victims to ensure their safety.
Attack on Influencer Halley Kate
One of the most talked-about incidents involved Halley Kate, a 25-year-old influencer.
In March 2024, she was walking on a street in New York when Stora suddenly approached and punched her in the face. She later shared a video online showing her injuries and describing the shocking moment.
She said the attack happened without warning, leaving her injured and shaken.
Other Victims Targeted
Stora was also involved in other violent incidents, including:
- Elbowing a 17-year-old boy in the neck
- Attacking a 37-year-old woman on the shoulder
In another case, he allegedly harassed a Jewish couple, shouting hateful comments and following them after they confronted him.
These repeated actions showed a clear pattern of aggressive and targeted behaviour.
Court Verdict and Conviction
After a long legal process, Stora was found guilty on multiple charges, including:
- Assault as a hate crime
- Stalking as a hate crime
- Aggravated harassment
The court rejected his earlier plea of not guilty and held him accountable for all charges.
Victim Speaks About Court Experience
Nearly two years after the attack, Halley Kate appeared in court to testify. She later shared that she felt anxious and nervous about facing her attacker.
Despite her fears, she chose to speak up, saying it was important to ensure justice and prevent further harm to others.
Impact of the Crimes
Officials highlighted that Stora’s actions caused both physical injuries and emotional trauma to the victims. Many said their sense of safety was deeply affected after the attacks.
The sentencing sends a strong message that such violent and hate-driven behaviour will not be tolerated.
