ROGER MILLS COUNTY, Okla. — Authorities have arrested a 46-year-old woman on embezzlement charges after an investigation revealed she allegedly stole $138,000 from a pressure pumping company in western Oklahoma.

Alleged Embezzlement Scheme

Angie Ellis, a former office manager at the company, is accused of embezzling money between 2023 and 2024 by writing unauthorized checks.

Investigators with the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI) revealed that Ellis used the company’s payroll system to make fraudulent payments, falsely reimbursed herself for company bills, and claimed she had paid them with her personal credit cards.

According to authorities, the total amount stolen from the company was $138,000.

Ellis Surrenders to Authorities

After the investigation, Angie Ellis turned herself into the Beckham County Sheriff’s Office. She was subsequently booked into jail on embezzlement charges and is now facing legal action for her alleged crimes.

Ongoing Investigation

The OSBI is continuing to investigate the case, and authorities are working to determine the full scope of Ellis’ actions during her time as the company’s office manager.
