A law enforcement officer was taken to OU Medical Center Friday night following a fatal crash involving two vehicles in southeast Norman. The incident, which occurred at the intersection of Cedar Lane Road and Classen Boulevard, resulted in the death of one driver and left the county deputy injured.
Details of the Collision
At approximately 11:10 p.m. Friday, officers from the Norman Police Department (NPD) responded to reports of an injury collision between two vehicles. According to NPD, a Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office vehicle was involved in the crash.
The county deputy inside the vehicle was transported to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where they remain in stable condition.
The driver of the other vehicle sustained significant injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved, and the collision is under active investigation.
