Rapper Kodak Black, whose real name is Bill Kapri, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with a drug trafficking charge related to an incident in Orlando, Florida. The arrest stems from a search conducted during a police response to a 911 call about gunshots that took place on November 24, 2025.
The Alleged Incident
According to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, officers were investigating a report of gunshots when they searched several vehicles in the vicinity of the incident. Kapri was observed by officers as he approached the scene while they conducted the vehicle searches.
During the search, officers allegedly discovered a metal container containing a pink pill substance that tested positive for MDMA (commonly known as ecstasy), as well as 56 grams of cannabis in sealed bags.
The police report also indicated that a bag found in the trunk contained Kapri’s ID, money, and a bottle of Promethazine Hydrochloride.
Additionally, the bag allegedly matched an image from Kodak Black’s Instagram page, which featured pink scissors and a pink bag. Investigators claimed this was the same bag found during the search, allegedly containing the contraband.
Kapri’s Response and the Allegations
The report alleges that when questioned about the bag, Kodak Black and others on the scene denied ownership of the items, including the MDMA and other substances.
When informed about the money found in the bag, Kapri reportedly attempted multiple times to claim it, asserting that the funds belonged to his business. However, he did not claim ownership of the bag or its contents, according to the sheriff’s office report.

Kodak Black is facing charges related to the drug trafficking of MDMA, and as of Thursday afternoon, he was awaiting a court hearing for the drug trafficking charge. The case has garnered significant attention, adding to the rapper’s ongoing legal troubles.
