An Oklahoma Highway Patrol trooper was injured after a serious rollover crash while responding to an emergency call involving an overturned dump truck in Oklahoma.
Officials said the accident happened around 10:00 a.m. as troopers were heading toward an injury crash on State Highway 9 near SH-9A.
According to authorities, the trooper had emergency lights and sirens activated at the time of the collision.
Trooper Responding to Emergency Crash
Investigators said the trooper was responding to reports of an overturned dump truck when the secondary crash occurred.
While driving with emergency equipment activated, the trooper attempted to pass another vehicle on the left side of the roadway.
However, officials said the other driver suddenly turned into a private driveway and collided with the patrol vehicle.
Patrol Vehicle Rolled Multiple Times
After the impact, the patrol unit rolled several times before eventually coming to rest off the roadway.

Because of the seriousness of the injuries, the trooper was airlifted to a hospital in the Tulsa area for treatment.
