Charlamagne Tha God, co-host of The Breakfast Club, responded fiercely to a Truth Social post from President Donald Trump following the death of former FBI Director Robert Mueller. Trump’s post on Saturday, which stated, “Good, I’m glad he’s dead. He can no longer hurt innocent people,” sparked widespread backlash, including strong comments from Charlamagne.
Charlamagne Calls Out Trump’s Hypocrisy
In his reaction, Charlamagne accused Trump of hypocrisy, pointing out that Trump had previously condemned foreign nationals who celebrated the death of Charlie Kirk in September. The radio host predicted that Trump’s comments on Mueller could further damage his legacy and brand him as “the worst president of all time.”
“You’re going to go down as the worst president of all time because you don’t give a damn about democracy, wiping your a– with the Constitution,” Charlamagne said, expressing his disdain. He added, “And on top of that, when you pass, people are going to treat it like Mardi Gras in New Orleans.”
The Legacy of Trump’s Actions
Charlamagne continued to question Trump’s legacy, stating that, despite all his accomplishments, they would be overshadowed by the harm he caused. “None of that will matter because you have hurt way too many people,” he said. The radio host also raised concerns about how Trump’s family might feel when he passes, asking, “Do you care what Barron sees about you after you pass? Do you care what Melania sees about you after you pass? What about your grandkids?”
Trump’s Response to Charlamagne
In a comment to Fox News Digital, a White House spokesperson, Davis R. Ingle, highlighted a Truth Social post from Trump in August, where the former president referred to Charlamagne as a “racist sleazebag” and a “low-IQ individual.” Trump also defended his actions as president, listing his supposed achievements, including ending wars, handling foreign relations, and improving the economy.
He accused President Joe Biden of being the worst president in history and described his own accomplishments in handling international conflicts and domestic issues.
Mueller’s Legacy and the Russia Investigation
Robert Mueller, who served as FBI Director from 2001 to 2013, led the special counsel investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election during Trump’s first term. While his investigation uncovered extensive contacts between Trump’s campaign and Russian individuals, the final report did not establish a criminal conspiracy.
Mueller’s investigation resulted in several high-profile charges against Trump associates, including Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn.
