A man wearing a stolen jail uniform was arrested for trespassing at a hotel in Brevard County, Florida, according to authorities.
Incident Details
Deputies with the Brevard County Sheriff’s Office responded to a hotel after receiving a call about a guest who was reportedly refusing to leave after his reservation expired. When they arrived at the room of 53-year-old Farron Fullerton, they found him wearing a striped inmate uniform, typically worn by prisoners at local jails. Fullerton allegedly resisted efforts to be handcuffed by officers.
Stolen Uniform and Investigation
Upon investigating, deputies determined that Fullerton had stolen the uniform before leaving Mitchell County Jail. However, they confirmed that he was not an escaped inmate, but rather had taken the uniform for his own use.
Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey humorously remarked, “I’ve heard of dress for success, but never dress for arrest!!”
Charges and Booking
Fullerton was booked into the Brevard County Jail on charges of trespassing and resisting an officer without violence.
Sheriff Ivey added, “We hope Fullerton enjoys his stay at the Lodge, we’re not sure how it compares to Mitchell County Jail yet, so we will have to wait for his review upon checkout.”
