A deadly shooting in Tulsa has led to an arrest after police say a man was shot multiple times during an early morning argument at a north Tulsa apartment complex.
The Tulsa Police Department confirmed that one suspect is now in custody and facing a first-degree murder charge.

Officers responded around 2:00 a.m. Tuesday to reports of a shooting at the Seminole Hill Apartments near East Virgin Street and North Peoria Avenue.
When officers arrived, they found a man lying on the sidewalk with an apparent gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police later identified the victim as Kenneth McVay, 25.

Police said McVay was found holding a knife. However, investigators stated that the footage does not show him making aggressive movements toward the suspect before the shooting.
How Police Identified the Suspect
Detectives interviewed several witnesses who reportedly identified the suspect by the street name “Beat On.” They also provided his legal name to officers.
Authorities confirmed the suspect’s identity using witness statements and security images captured during the incident.
The department’s Fugitive Warrants Unit later located and arrested the suspect. He was transported to the Tulsa County Jail.
He is currently facing a charge of first-degree murder. However, charges have not yet been formally filed, and media outlets have not released his name at this time.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are continuing their investigation and are asking anyone with information to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS. Tipsters can remain anonymous, and rewards may be available for information leading to an arrest.
Authorities say this marks the 20th recorded homicide in Tulsa this year.
Community Impact
The shooting has raised concerns about safety in north Tulsa neighborhoods. Residents say incidents like this are deeply unsettling, especially when they happen in residential areas during early morning hours.
Police continue to review evidence and may release additional details as the case moves through the legal process.
As with all criminal cases, the suspect is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court. Investigators are working to determine all circumstances surrounding the incident, including what led to the argument and the involvement of others who were present at the scene.
