TULSA, Okla. — Tulsa police have arrested Jeffrey Aguirre, also known as “Joker,” in connection with a deadly shooting near 51st Street and Harvard Avenue.
Aguirre was taken into custody Thursday night and booked into the Tulsa County Jail on more than $1 million bond. He faces charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm after a former felony conviction.
Details of the Shooting
Officers responded to the Tradewinds Central Inn around 2 a.m. on Sunday after receiving reports of a shooting in the parking lot. Police found 28-year-old Marcus Vazquez suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Vazquez was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
According to investigators, surveillance video showed Aguirre exiting a gold vehicle and shooting Vazquez multiple times before fleeing the scene.
